WHO IS CALLMETHEKIDD?

 

CallMeTheKidd is a 23 year-old rapper and producer hailing from North London. An area famed for its urban musical superstars such as Skepta, Chipmunk and Wretch 32, it seems like The Kidd will be the latest to add to North London’s finest.

 

Making music since he was 13, after going to church where he played the drums. This inspired his love for music and he began to start producing. He fell in love with the process of making music from creating beats to rapping on songs.

His musicality shows in his latest project and his career so far. He’s performed alongside some of the best in the music business such as Chipmunk, Bashy and Marvel Music.  

 

In 2011, he started a YouTube channel Kidd Dynomite and began uploading his music on there. He received good feedback on YouTube but wasn’t ready just yet to release music seriously.

 

Through this experience it took him three years to craft his EP - 2ND2N: The Movie. Taking his time with creating the project he was able to reflect and mould it into being an excellent body of music.  A versatile offering that is rich in flows and content, Kidd makes his mark on the music scene. He also shows off his versatility as an artist, both producing & singing on many of the tracks. The use of his vocals coupled with pristine production help to create his signature sound.

 

From his music it’s evident to see his production and songwriting influences such as Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Kanye West & Drake. Although his main influences are Americans, you can tell he’s a London boy from his cheeky swagger and skippy flow
